Design standards
Pages target WCAG 2.2 AA: large readable type, strong color contrast, visible focus states, full keyboard navigation, and layouts that work with screen readers and 200% zoom.
Language access
Plain language is not a feature here — it is the standard. Explainers are written in plain English today; Spanish and Haitian Creole summaries are planned as the newsroom grows.
Images and media
Every photograph carries descriptive alt text and a caption with location and source. Livestreams we link to are official streams; we note when captions are available.
